Before you begin discovering and backing up your AWS Virtual Private Cloud resources, you must have:
An access key and secret key of that user through which cluster was provisioned, because in EKS only the user can access who have created it.
Note:This user should have all read and write prmission for the cluster.
This user should have also access to the S3 bucket. The S3 bucket will be used to store your images and volumes during the migration process.
Learn how to set up your IBM Cloud Object Storage here. Learn how to grant access between VPC Image Services and COS (only required for primary images and secondary volumes migration). Learn how to create your service credentials and get your Resource Instance ID here. IKS & OpenShift Clusters Before you begin discovering and backing up your IKS and OpenShift clusters, you must have the following permissions:
Ensure that you have the following IBM Cloud IAM access policies. Administrator platform role for VPC Infrastructure. Administrator platform role for IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service. Writer or Manager service role for IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service. Administrator platform role for Container Registry. Writer or Manager service role for IBM Cloud Object Storage.
