Overview
You can edit your VPC migration workspace from the editing panel located on the right. You can also save this workspace as a template to edit later or provision multiple VPCs.
Note: If you exit this editing panel without saving the workspace as a template, you will lose your unsaved progress and will have to discover again. Make sure you save it before exiting. Also, any change you make to your VPC here will not impact your existing classic infrastructure deployment.
Before editing the sections of your VPC, confirm the cloud information and then select the Region, Zone, and Resource Group for your VPC.
Next, you can change your Subnetting Information or keep it as is. If you want to connect your VPC to your current classic infrastructure, you may want to change your subnetting information to avoid any IP conflicts. You can toggle it as shown in the picture below. Click Next to proceed.
Before setting up your migration workspace, you can filter out components of your discovery that you do not want to migrate. You can use the Bulk Selection option to select multiple components from the tabular menu on the right or the visual pane on the left. Once selected, you can either Keep Selected items or Delete them using the buttons next to Bulk Selection.
Click Next to go to your migration workspace.
In your workspace, you can add, delete, or edit any section of your VPC. For example, you can attach a load balancer or add a new VSI by clicking on the ‘Add’ icon next to Load Balancers and Instances respectively. Any change you make will be reflected in the left pane to visually assist you in the editing of your VPC. Clicking on a component of your VPC will highlight it in the left window.
You can edit the following components in your migration workspace. Before you Provision it, make sure your VPC meets the limits and quotas specified in the IBM Cloud documentation.
